The primary purpose of the San Juan Law Enforcement Emergency Regional Response Team is to provide a systematic approach to saving lives in accordance with the priorities of life and the specific standards set forth herein, in concert with the totality of circumstances presented.

 

The Law Enforcement Emergency Regional Response Team ultimate goal is to provide the best tactical support to the tactical community in the Rio Grande Valley through partnerships with local, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies.  

 

 Municipal, County, State and Federal Law Enforcement agencies currently activate and utilize the San Juan Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics Unit.  Our primary objective is to offer this Regional Tactical Response Unit to surrounding city municipalities who may not have the necessary expertise and manpower to deal with serious criminal situations. 

 

The Law Enforcement Emergency Regional Response Team  main purpose is to provide tactical support to existing SWAT units or to those Law Enforcement agencies that request assistance during critical situations
